When Susan Nethero, owner and founder of Intimacy, appeared on Oprah for the first time - she wanted to make the most of her appearance. Intimacy bought banner ad space on Oprah.com with the intent to drive incremental traffic from Oprah's website to the MyIntimacy.com website. Hothead Studios coordinated with Harpo Production on suggested banner ad placement. In addition, we created two banner ad formats - vertical versus horizontal—and tracked their effectiveness. Hothead compared the number of "click-throughs" for each banner format and determined that one format pulled over 300% more click-throughs over the other! By adjusting Intimacy's ad buy with Oprah, MyIntimacy.com experienced a huge spike in web site visits. What a difference!
